Guggenheim, Bilbao, Spain, June 2015
My background is in Fine Art, I studied at Kingston University graduating in 2005.
I trained as a Yoga Teacher qualifying in 2009 and have been teaching since 2007.
I guess that makes me an Artist and Yoga Teacher, amongst other things.
Based in East London, mainly Hackney, the last 10 years, I very recently moved back to West Sussex where I was born. My main passions are art, film, writing, walking, photography and yoga. I am fascinated by people, a sociable being who also spends time each year retreating somewhere like a recluse to meditate and write. I do this in order to become quiet, avoid distraction, to then share and participate more whole heartedly when I return to my regular life.
I decided to leave my flat, say goodbye to my clients and London in May this year looking to make some big changes.
I experimented with living off very little for the last 7 months walking 775km on the Camino De Santiago across Northern Spain, I went to The Borderland, a festival in Denmark and spent the rest of my time, volunteering by working in commuities and retreat centres across the UK, spending a fair bit of time in Scotland including taking myself on solitary retreat. During this period of travel, I walked a lot, wrote a lot and took hundreds of photos. I recently touched base.
I am now hibernating for the winter and taking in all the material and experiences of the last year, working on writing and my own creative projects and building a new foundation for the next chapter.
